Pakistan vs West Indies 1st ODI Highlights: Pakistan vs West Indies 1st ODI was played at Sharjah. West Indies won the toss and chose to field first. Pakistan has defeated West Indies in T20 series by 3-0. So Pakistan had a psychological pressure on West Indies. Pakistan captain and opener Azhar Ali failed to give a good start and went back to the pavilion on the first ball of the first over. Later Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan played very well and made a long partnership. Sharjeel Khan scored 54 runs at 60 balls. Babar Azam scored his maiden century in the 1st ODI. Babar Azam scored 120 runs at 177 balls. After shrjeel Khan Sarfaraz Ahmad played a good supportive innings with Babar Azam. Sarfaraz Ahmad scored 35 runs at 72 balls. Imad Wasim scored 24 runs at 35 balls and Mohammad Nawaz scored 19 runs at 32 balls. Shoaib Malik scored 6 runs at 18 balls, Mohammad Rizwan 11 at 15, Wahab Riaz 0 at 3, Mohammad Aamir 3 at 9 and Hassan Ali scored 2 runs at 3 balls.

Pakistan scored 284 runs in 49 overs with loss of 9 wickets. The match was restricted to 49 overs as flood lights went off and match was stopped for some time. According to DLS method West Indies had to score 287 runs in 49 overs. But West Indies failed to chase the score as Pakistani bowlers bowled very well specially Mohammad Nawaz who took 4 wickets in 10 overs by giving 42 runs. Hassan Ali took 3 wickets in 5.4 overs buy giving 14 runs only. Imad Wasim, Mohammad Aamir and Wahab Riaz took 1and 1 wickets.MN Samuels was the top scorer from West Indies with 46 runs at 84 balls. Babar Azam was man of the match for his 120 runs.
